We built KOMPUTAH because we know what it feels like to run a business on your own.
- Secondary school
Clearing plates
It started in secondary school. I worked at my family’s restaurant, clearing plates, and saved every ringgit as capital.
- First brand
HK Pomade
Pomade was the trend, so I launched my own brand: HK POMADE. It failed. I knew how to style hair, not how to run a business. To be fair, I was still in school.
- Next trend
Bundle clothes
Next: bundle clothes. I sold at car boot sales, by the roadside and at pasar malam. Some weeks made money, some didn’t. I still didn’t know how to manage it.
- After school
Learning it properly
I went back to the family business to learn the real thing: staff, stock, ordering, accounts. And marketing. Sales went up, and they’ve stayed steady ever since.
- My own business
A camera rental
Then I started my own camera rental. The first two years were great. I made every kind of TikTok content you can think of.
- Doing it all alone
Tired
But I did everything myself. Think of content. Reply to customers. Meet customers. Repeat. I got so tired I didn’t want to continue.

KOMPUTAH
So I started building the tool I wished I had. I’ve loved IT since I was a kid, so this part felt natural. That tool is KOMPUTAH.
